Hood Tennis

About us

HOOD TENNIS was a community group that has been in existence since 2010 and became a charity in 2019. Hood Tennis's core mission is to profoundly impact the lives of individuals, especially children and adults from deprived backgrounds. We achieve this by providing career workshops and seminars for kids from these deprived areas and support educational programmes both in the UK and Africa. We also provide accessible tennis opportunities for both adults and kids, using the sport as a powerful tool for holistic development. Our aim is to support the provision of basic education for kids, guide teens in making career changing decisions and use sports (tennis) as a tool to improve physical fitness, enhance personal development, build essential life skills, and cultivate unwavering confidence of these young ones. Beyond the court, we strive to strengthen community spirit and promote healthier lifestyles, addressing critical issues like limited access to sports, poor health outcomes, and a lack of positive engagement. Through comprehensive coaching and engaging events, Hood Tennis empowers participants, equipping them with the tools and mindset to thrive both within the sport and in their broader lives.
